After days of organizing, Tropical Storm Karen has formed in the Gulf of Mexico.
Top sustained winds were around 45 mph and movement was to the North and Karen is expected to impact the northern Gulf states later Friday into Saturday.
Central Florida can expect increased clouds and an isolated shower as the storm passes well to the west.

UPDATE:
As of 1am Thursday, October 3rd, 2013 Karen’s maximum sustained winds are 65 mph with gusts upwards of 75 mph.
Karen is forecast to become a Hurricane by tomorrow morning.
